As an example if someone types in 'web design tips' they will be competing against over 1 million websites that have that as a keyword for about 150 visits a day if they appeared in the first page.

However if someone types in 'web page design tips' they will be competing against 16,000 websites that have that as a keyword for about 78 visits a day if they appeared in the first page.

So our advice would be to target the easier keyword phrase ‘web page design tips’ and perhaps conduct a pay per click (ppc) campaign for the keyword 'web design tips'.
